EmperorLinux regularly visits trade shows on the east and west coasts of the US. Trade shows give our customers a chance to talk to our Linux experts and try out a selection of our latest Linux laptops. We appeared at the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo in San Francisco, CA from Aug. 7-9, 2007. We were in booth 726.

Guests of EmperorLinux could download a pass for free admission to the LinuxWorld exhibit hall and a discount on conference programming.

Linux laptop and tablet systems that were available at the show for customer demonstration included:

  • The new Rhino D830, with 2.4 GHz (with Santa Rosa), a 1920x1200 LCD, and a full 4GB RAM. The Rhino D830 was selected as a finalist in the Best Desktop Solution category for the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards.
  • The new Toucan T61, bringing 4 GB RAM (and Santa Rosa) and widescreen to the T series.
  • The new Raven X61 tablet, now with a Core 2 Duo and 1400x1050 LCD.
  • The new Koala D430, weighing in at only 3 pounds, and 1" thin, with a 1280x800 widescreen and dual core CPU.
  • The rugged Tarantula CF-30, meeting MIL-STD-810F.
